Pinehurst Trace is an independent living community of privately owned homes for adults 55 and over who want the comfort and security of being part of a special community, along with the privacy and independence of owing their own home.

The community is located just north of the famous Pinehurst traffic circle where five arteries quickly take you to all nearby destinations, as well as accessing highways to other areas throughout the state. Pinehurst Trace was planned for those who are approaching retirement or who are already retired and want to pursue a comfortable, creative, and secure lifestyle. The clubhouse with its great room, library, game and billiard room, and exercise facility, together with the swimming pool and tennis court create a country club ambiance.

The development at Pinehurst Trace began in 1985. Over the next nine years, the existing 135 homes were built. A long established, well-managed and fiscally sound homeowners association exists.

In 2002, the two owners of some 90 undeveloped lots decided to resume building and new construction is underway, offering prospective buyers the option of building their own new home or purchasing a resale of an existing home. Existing patio homes for sale are priced from the mid-$120,000's to $200,000 and range in size from approximately 1,300 square feet to over 2,400 square feet and are based on nine distinctive two or three bedroom designs. New homes start at $145,000. All homes are brick with vinyl trim. Existing homes come with a one-car attached garage and the new ones feature two-car garages.

Owners become members of the Pinehurst Trace Homeowners Association. This membership entitles them to the use of all common facilities and other amenities, including exterior maintenance of all homes, grounds maintenance, planned recreation, and on premises professional management.

Pinehurst Trace Homeowners Association is not a developer, builder or realtor.
