Sandhills Community College
Sandhills Community College is the flagship of the North Carolina
community college system. Its Continuing Education program is
impressive, offering a very full schedule of computer classes.
Part of the campus includes a large Horticultural Garden that
is the classroom of the two-year curriculum students, who perennially
place high in national competitions against much larger, four-year
schools.

Moore Regional Hospital
Health care is a concern for all. Moore Regional Hospital is
an outstanding facility, recently named the top hospital in North
Carolina by North Carolina Business Magazine. It has received
high marks in Cardiology, Orthopedic and Stroke care.

Historic Downtown Pinehurst
The center of Pinehurst Village, where it all began over 100
years ago, offers picturesque shops and restaurants on its winding
tree-lined streets.
Public and holiday events occur in downtown throughout the year.
The Pinehurst Resort and Country Club, featuring the world famous
Carolina Hotel and Spa, is located within walking distance of
downtown Pinehurst.

U.S. Open 2005
U.S. Womens Open 2007
The world-famous Pinehurst Country Club #2 Course was home to
the 1999 U.S. Open Golf Championship and will again host the championship
in 2005. In 2001, Pine Needles hosted the U.S. Women's Open Championship,
which returns to this nearby Southern Pines course in 2007.
